Cameron has more than two decades of experience planning, administering and developing non-profit arts and culture organizations, and working with staff, researchers, artists and performers at esteemed civic, arts and education institutions in the U.S., Europe, and Asia. Cameron’s career in the arts began with his work to coordinate the diverse interests of university-level academic institutions and cultural organizations, including IRCAM and the Darmstädter Ferienkurse, where he developed outreach and engagement programs with governmental agencies, community organizations and local businesses. In thirteen years at MGMP, first as an Associate and later as Vice President, Cameron developed over 60 feasibility, facility planning and design, site selection, operating, strategic and business plans for museum clients throughout the US. Cameron continues this work today as Principal of The Planning Office for Culture, where he applies data-driven planning methodologies to help arts and culture organizations around the world articulate their unique assets and perspectives. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Cameron traces his ancestry to India, and to the Carib and Arawak tribes indigenous to the Caribbean.
